About this listing

This Victorian seafront property is a traditional 3 storey terrace with a shop front, a ground floor garden apartment, and accommodation on the first and second floors. Directly across the road are the beautiful Pier Gardens, four miles of promenade and the expansive beaches of the mouth of the Humber Estuary.  The premises is situated centrally for the lovely shops, bars and restaurants of the High St and Seaview Quarter, with all Cleethorpes has to offer within easy walking distance.

As a base for work, this property is around half an hour from the Port of Immingham and the Humber Bank industries, and 15 minutes drive from Grimsby Docks. This is a 5 minute walk from the train station and is on a bus route, with stops right outside.

This is a one bedroomed first floor apartment – it’s at the back of the building so therefore it has no sea view but instead benefits from the afternoon and early evening sun due to its south facing aspect. Recently refurbished and modernised, it is a bright and airy space – from the door is a short corridor with the bathroom and bedroom just off, opening into an open plan living room and kitchen.

The living room has a sofa bed – accommodating up to two extra guests by prior arrangement, and a Smart TV – WiFi is included so you can log into your own entertainment accounts or cast onto it using your smartphone or laptop. There is also a hard-wired internet port, should you need a plugged in connection.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all you should need, including a washer/dryer. There is an oven and electric hob, an integrated fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster and kettle – tea and coffee are provided so just let me know if you’ve any preferences on the milk and biscuits!

The bedroom has a double bed, a chest of drawers and a mirror with a clothes hanging rail. A hairdryer is provided, and also an iron and ironing board – it’s a tabletop sized board, let me know if you need a full sized one if you take your ironing really seriously!

Guest Access

Most guests who stay in this apartment use the front entrance to the building into the communal hallway, coming up one flight of stairs to the apartment door. The locks in the premises are suited, so one key gives guests access to the main front and back doors, the back gate and the apartment. This means it’s easy and convenient to access through the back gate too, if need be.

There is a keysafe, enabling self check-in when required.

Parking: Parking for this property is free on-street nearby, or there is a council pay and display car park in the adjacent street (Yarra Rd) which is payable during the day (maximum cost £5) and is free after 6pm. There are varying time restrictions on the roadside parking during the day, I can advise on this on arrival. Previous guests have not encountered many problems with this, and in most instances having to use the pay-and-display car park can be avoided.

Security: There are other guests and residents in the property – for the security and peace of mind of everyone please take care to ensure all doors are locked behind you when coming in or out. Common access areas include the hallway, the back yard and the garden – please feel free to use all the spaces available to you but be mindful that others use them too. Please keep tidy and do not leave valuables outside your own accommodation.

Noise: This property is next door to a restaurant (quite lovely, I’d certainly recommend a visit!), they have an outside seating area and play background music during their opening hours – it is by no means a raucous late night venue but the nature of the business is busy, particularly in the summer months. Most guests have reported it to feel quite an ambient atmosphere outside, and once inside the apartment there are no noise issues at all.
